| DESCRIPTION OF INTRODUCTORY RANGE TRAINING SESSIONS |
Individual Appointments (Private Lessons):
This format is best suited for individuals, partners, or teams who are new to handguns and
would prefer more individualized instruction in a private setting. There is typically more time in
these sessions for remedial work for students with difficulties or special challenges, or to try
other firearms provided by the Institute. This program is especially useful for students
contemplating a defense gun purchase who would like the opportunity to “try before they buy”
and get a professional pre-purchase recommendation on an appropriate firearm specifically
tailored to their needs. These sessions are scheduled by appointment, and typically last
about three hours. More time is allotted for partners and teams if needed. Appointments are
available on weekdays, and certain weekend days when the range facility is not in use for
group classes. Cost per student is $225.00 on a stand-alone basis, or $249.95 with the
regularly scheduled Safe Start classroom session included. Discounts are available for
partners, teams and corporate groups, please inquire.

Small Group Range Sessions:
Offered twice monthly on weekend afternoons normally following the regularly scheduled
Safe Start classroom session, students under the direction of qualified instructors will be
trained in the practical aspects of safe and effective defensive handgun use. Students will be
coached in proper stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control, up through firing their first
shots at defense relevant distances in practical exercises. Students are encouraged to bring
along any handguns they may already own for a free safety check and evaluation for defense
purposes, and for use in class. Staff will make suggestions on which types of guns would be
most appropriate for the participants. Loaner firearms are available with advance notice.

| Students in PPI Small Group Range Sessions learn in a comfortable and safe environment with close supervision and individual attention owing to our low instructor to student ratio and our dedicated training facility. PPI students DO NOT learn on ranges in use by gun club members or other shooters who are not engaged in the lesson. |
