Non-Firearms and Special Programs
Non-Firearms Programs
At PPI, we're more than just a firearms training company, although many of
our students do ultimately develop an interest in the level of protection that
may be afforded to them by being armed. But, at the Institute, we know that
truly living a safer life calls for a wide-ranging study of protection issues.
We regularly offer three popular short-term seminar programs to address
some of the special concerns of our clients. Simply click on the program
title to be taken to a more detailed course announcement for that offering.
Presented by a male/female instructional team, this day-long program is
designed to explore some key issues in personal safety and protection for
women and includes vital information on topics such as: facts on crime
against women, myths related to women's self-defense, refusing to be a
victim, use of force for women and a woman's plan for personal protection.
This program features both lecture/discussion and practical audience
participation exercises.
A one-evening presentation on the basics of home protection, led by an
experienced security professional. Participants will be introduced to the
concept of "layers" of home protection, "hardening" of the residence,
emergency preparedness, and tactics for managing a home intrusion.
An evening specifically designed for parents who want to increase the
level of safety of their children and adolescents while at home, at school,
or in social settings. Parents are provided with facts on today's safety risks
for their children and how to mitigate them, including a newly developed
section on internet safety, child predators, and parental monitoring.
Facilitators for this program have years of experience in the protection of
juveniles, particularly those considered at-risk youth.
In addition to the programs listed above, the Institute can custom craft
programs to address the needs of specialty groups as we have done in
the past for child care providers, home school groups, hospitality industry
workers, home health care providers, and a host of others. On-site
training is available as are safety and security consulting services. Please
contact us to discuss your organization's special needs and how we can
help.
